<h2>About this course</h2>In this course, you learn AutoCAD Architecture through projects, starting with the core AutoCAD skills it builds on. After a course overview and a look at vanilla AutoCAD, you cover AutoCAD fundamentals and proficiency topics such as workspaces, command aliases, layouts and viewports, annotative text, multileaders, dimension styles, blocks, attributes, and external references. You then set up an AutoCAD Architecture foundation with drawing templates, projects, standards, layer keys, the Style Manager, and the Content Browser, and learn how AEC styles and the display system control walls, materials, and hatches. Conceptual design follows, using mass elements, Booleans, freeform modeling, mass groups, cameras, and the napkin sketch tool. You bring the massing study into a project, build shell constructs, and create and refine spaces. In the constructs section, you design wall styles and endcaps, build walls, doors, windows, core and interior constructs, floor slabs, curtain walls, stairs, railings, and roofs. Structural design covers column grids, beams, joists, braces, and foundations. You then work with Multi-View Blocks, zones and space area calculations, elevations, 2D and 3D sections, and sheets. Documentation topics include text styles, annotative and AEC dimensions, leaders, keynotes and keynote legends, title marks, north arrows, revision clouds, and tags, classifications, and schedules.
