<h2>About this course</h2>In this course, you learn Autodesk Civil 3D through project-oriented lessons, with most sections ending in a practice exercise and quiz. After an introduction and the course dataset, you learn the interface: workspaces, the ribbon, Toolspace, the Properties palette, transparent commands, and Panorama.You then import, group, and report points with description keys, and work with survey databases, figures, and linework code sets. Surfaces get the most depth: breaklines, contours, boundaries, editing, analysis, labels, and volumes.Design work covers alignments by the PI method and fixed, floating, and free methods, data shortcuts, surface and design profiles, assemblies and subassemblies, and corridors with target mapping, corridor surfaces, and intersections. You also create grading with feature lines, pipe networks with interference checking, and pressure pipe networks with design checks.For documentation, you produce plan and plan and profile sheets with sheet sets, and cross section views and sheets from sample line groups. Finally, you work through earthwork volumes, quantity takeoff, and mass haul diagrams, lay out and label parcels, including ROW parcels, project an AutoCAD box culvert model into civil plans, and build surfaces from point clouds.
