<h2>About this course</h2>In this course, you learn to create the fabrication drawings and details needed to manufacture your components in a shop. You start with drawing file types, the user interface, and sheet settings, then create and modify views, including projected and detail views, and use the view settings dialog, place view toolbar, overlay, and print and plot options.Annotation gets the most attention. You set up dimension and text styles, add basic, advanced, and special dimensions, and place notes, leaders, feature notes, and text. You also add custom symbols, surface texture and weld symbols, caterpillar welds and end fills, feature control frames, datum symbols and targets, feature identifiers, edge symbols, and center lines, and retrieve model annotations.Advanced annotations cover parts lists, from the basics to a detailed study and export, along with tables, general tables, the revision tab, balloons, and the bill of materials, plus sketches, formatting, and the Manage tab.Finally, you create drawing resources: title blocks with advanced features, borders, and sketch symbols saved as external files for reuse. Each section includes a practice exercise and quiz, so by the end you can produce manufacturing-ready drawings in Autodesk Inventor.<h2>Who should take this course</h2>This course is for you if you work in manufacturing, research and development, or product design and need to make drawings using Autodesk Inventor. It also fits Inventor users who can already model parts and assemblies but have not yet documented them in a drawing.<h2>Prerequisites</h2>Before taking this course, you should complete the Inventor beginners course and the Inventor assembly course, or have equivalent experience modelling parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor. The course itself is rated easy.
