<h2>About this course</h2>In this course, you learn Revit Architecture from scratch by designing a residential building from its first footprint to finished sheets. You begin with the new project template, the building footprint, object snaps, and selecting objects. Next, you draw generic walls, navigate and nudge elements, enter distances in feet and inches, design a specific wall type, and copy and rename levels. You then build a roof by footprint, attach walls to it, and extend it, before designing a custom material, splitting faces to apply paint, and building a masonry chimney. Curtain walls and doors get extensive coverage. You sketch the ground and second floors, build curtain walls, add grids, change panel types, alter mullions, add doors to curtain walls, create a wall opening by editing its profile, and place a front door from a type catalog. Detailed features come next: an interior camera, a U-shaped residential stair with railings, an interior door, a powder room, a kitchen, and a mudroom entry. In the views and aesthetics section, you edit furniture families, add a Level 2 ceiling, adjust field of view, use working sections, and design an attached garage with a rollup door. Finally, you edit the titleblock, lay out plans and elevations on sheets, and create PDF output.
