<h2>About this course</h2>In this course, you learn Revit MEP from the ground up, working through a building project that covers every major MEP discipline. You start by creating a project from a multi-discipline template, linking architectural and structural models, using Copy/Monitor on levels and grids, and assigning view templates. You then create and renumber spaces and set up mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and 3D coordination views. On the mechanical side, you run hydronic piping between the chiller, boiler, and AHU, then build out the ducting: supply and return air terminals, HRV and supply ducts, duct systems, insulation, accessories, tagging, shaft penetrations, and interference checks. The plumbing section covers enlarged plans, fixtures, domestic hot and cold water, and sloped sanitary piping with venting. The electrical section is the largest in the course, taking you through power distribution, branch panels, panel schedules, conduit, receptacles, lighting fixtures, switch and power circuiting, wiring, cable trays, and interference checking. Two fire protection sections follow, one for sprinkler piping and routing through crowded plenums, and one for fire alarm devices, wiring, panel schedules, and control panel conduit. You finish with multi-discipline work such as dimensioning, detailing, phasing, and custom title blocks and sheets, plus two self-directed projects.
