<h2>About this course</h2>In this course, you start by setting up SketchUp with templates, toolbars, units, and shortcuts, then learn navigation in 2D and 3D, how SketchUp geometry works, selection, groups, and components. The 2D drawing tools come next: importing images, tags, measurements and snapping, guides and offset, polygon, circle, and arc tools, copy and rotate, array and divide, and the eraser.In 3D, you use push-pull, basic shapes, scaling, 3D text, and section planes, then model walls, holes with solid tools and intersections, and furniture from scratch. You go further with components, using the Outliner tray, subcomponents, dynamic components, 3D Warehouse imports, and glue and cut settings.Materials and textures cover custom materials, texture scaling, material area calculation, 3D Warehouse materials, the eye dropper tool, external texture sources, and organizing materials. You also install extensions from the Extension Warehouse, including 1001bit tools.For presentation, you create tags for design options, manage scenes and camera settings, build elevation and plan views, switch between perspective and parallel projection, export animations, and apply styles, shadows, and shadow studies. Finally, you export PDFs, images, and DWG files, import 2D and 3D drawings, export to LayOut, and prepare models for 3D printing.
